this post has nothing to do with the quote, but it was on TV tonight so i just had to post it. it's one of my all-time favorites. but this post is about something just as stupid: video games and trashy tv.

to aileen, the worst possible way to waste time is to play video games. to me, sitting around and just watching trashy tv (especially those shows where you just KNOW it's not going to make it) is the worst way to spend time. whenever one of us does something we love and cannot live without, the other tends to get a little annoyed, and sometimes, worse.

so what can we do? well, thankfully, there are the "Blitches" that we spend a lot of time with. they are a godsend. the alter ego loves to do exactly what aileen loves to do, and her fiancee, a very old friend of mine, loves to play video games as much as i do. thus, as long as the girls are watching their trashy tv shows, the guys can play games like battlefield 2. but while it looks good on paper, it doesn't always work. in the summer, there isn't anything to watch on tv. so it's really a catch-22... do i try to get aileen to watch even more tv, which i hate? or do i cut back on my video games and lose precious minutes of gaming? or maybe some other options?
