housework sucks. i really don't look forward to owning a house, especially the amount of time you put into fixing things as well as the property taxes my parents have to pay (about $1000 a month!!!!!).

in any case, i've been meaning to write about temptation. is temptation ever a good thing? temptation only comes when it is either something you should not be doing or something with great risk (these two are independent - for example, you are trying to win a NASCAR race and the only way to do it is by making a dangerous maneuver).

if resistance to temptation is one measure of how much self-control one has, i would place very very low on the scale. i fall to temptation so easily, i am probably very low on Satan's list of challenging people. on certain things, nothing can ever made me budge... but only on a very few things. for instance, i will always resist the temptation to murder or get on all fours and bark like a dog during class (just kidding - i can never resist that temptation). but for other things like having that one last beer, or writing wayne's telephone number on the bathroom wall - i have very little hesitation, even though it's wrong.

there are people worse than i am (jason) and people that place very high on the temptation scale (steve). how do people resist temptation so well? stubborness? confidence? shameless-ness? there are probably a lot of factors, but i guess the point of the story is, everyone has certain temptations that are very hard to resist regardless of how you place on the scale. so if you want to manipulate someone, then find out what he/she cannot resist the temptation to and exploit it. but the REAL point of the story is, i am very tired because i am averaging 5 hours of sleep.
