'tis a good sports year for me:

- padres didn't finish last (that's huge... even huge-r is that they almost won the wild card)
- chargers are doing pretty well right now. but it's really after the half-point mark where they struggle...
- cal is #4 in bcs
- two of my favorite college hoops teams are #1 AND #2 (kansas and wake)
- i started playing tennis again
- clippers aren't off to a bad start either.

even if we don't win any championships, i'm pretty satisfied.
