being asian in the south is awesome. i've mentioned this before, but where else can you really go where there is a major city and yet, people just assume you are really smart because you are asian? i went to get my haircut, and i know steve would have been offended, but i was quite happy with my conversation with the barber.

"so what do you do?"
"i'm a grad student at wake."
"ahh... i'm sure you are in medical school knowing you." she doesn't even know my name.
"ummm... " at this point, was debating whether to lie and just pretend i was a doctor, but decided not to. "i'm actually going to business school."

i guess she felt a little embarassed, but hey, it was more of a compliment i think.
